All flat leather products are cut from 8/9 ounce strap leather. This is the
same leather used by the best saddle and harness makers. The leather is
oiled before and during dyeing or staining to ensure a product that is
already supple and will only get more so with use.One touch and you will
agree, it just feels good in the hand!!
All tooled and embossed items are treated with an antique finish or
highlighting treatment to enhance the design. All items are finished with a
tough top finish that enhances the natural tone of the leather and gives it
an attractive glow. This top layer also protects the antique finish and hand
painting.
We use top quality hardware. We prefer to use solid brass or chrome over
solid brass hardware (there are a few items we are unable to get in these
finishes, they are noted as such.) Brass provides a strong, rust free and
attractive finish to our products that will continue to look great, no matter
how much it goes through!
